Well tonight was always going to be a little different with the Puissant Sovereign, P.Kt. Jon Measures and Viceroy, Vic Parker having been elected to serve a further year in their respective offices. This is all designed to give a newer member of the Conclave an opportunity of working the offices on his way to those important chairs.
The Conclave was honoured by the attendance of R. Ill. Kt. Graham Edwin Williams, the Intendent General of the Division and he brought with him several members of the Divisional team and the Sepulchre Guard to look after him, (not that he was really in any danger)!

The meeting being a proclamation made the whole affair rather quick, or was it that the Conclave Marshal V. Ill. Kt. Derek Alty kept things moving? In any event, once the administrative bits were out of the way the Proclamations were made and the Sovereign appointed his officers, all staying in office with the exception of his son, Jonathan who was appointed as Standard Bearer Labarum.
A little more administration which included a £200 donation to the Grand Sovereigns Care for Children fund, and £200 being donated to the Hall to be used for building works.

A collection for good causes has already started to make up for the donations made. The Conclave was closed and we all retired to the dining room where we enjoyed a meal prepared by Sharon and served by the hall staff. |
|
Speeches were short but very considered and there was even a rumour of a candidate for later in the season.
Thanks again to Hesketh Conclave for another fine night of Red Cross Masonry. |
